Jojo L. Manato, DDS

Dr. Jojo Manato started his academic dental career at Centro Escolar University, Manila, Philippines where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) in 1989. He then became a Faculty member/Clinical Instructor of Oral Surgery and Prosthodontic Department. He also attended Graduate School and finished his Master's Degree at the same University. He continued his Post Graduate education by attending at Kyushu University, School of Dentistry, Fukuoka, Japan where he received his Clinical Oral Surgery and Oral Pathology Laboratory Research Certificates. During his stays in Japan, Dr. Manato received three Scholarship/Fellowship Grants: The Japanese Ministry of Education (Monbusho), JDA (Japan Dental Association) and JASCAA. Furthermore, Dr. Manato received many blessings from God Almighty, one of them, his acceptance from the the University of Colorado, School of Dental Medicine where he graduated and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery(DDS) with flying colors

 

After Dr. Manato graduated from University he started practicing in the Philipines as an Oral Surgeon and General Dentist as well. He was also a visiting Oral Surgeon at the United Doctors' Medical Center (UDMC). After spending some time as a Clinical Instructor/Faculty Member at Centro Escolar University, he moved to Washington, DC to work for various dental practices until finally opening his own practice in Waldorf, MD, THE MANATO FAMILY DENTISTRY, LLC.

 

He continues to further his knowledge in current dental technologies and procedures and volunteers his time to assist dental students in various seminars. He has also been awarded honors for showing excellence in his Continuing Education Programs. He loves to attend Continuing Education Seminars.

Dr. Manato also volunteered and served at Archdiocese of Washington, Archdiocesan Pastoral Council during  the time of His Excellence Cardinal Theodore McCarrick and Cardinal Donald Wuerl.

 

In addition, he and his Staff are volunteers of Southern Maryland Mission of Mercy that provides FREE dental services for adult patients.

 

When he's out of the office, he spends quality time with his wife, Maribel, and his son, John Michael. John Michael likes to play Baseball. He got his Second Medals in ARCHERY. At present time, he wants to explore the field of SOCCER. His biggest dream is to play SOCCER in Madrid, Spain. He is eager to see Christiano Ronaldo or CR7.
