I am writing to share the very positive experience I had at the Manato Family Dentistry this past week. I had a chipped front tooth and it was turning dark because of the old filling behind that tooth.
Dr. Manato said, "No problem, I can fix that." He noticed that the tooth next to it had a similar problem which was not so visible yet. In less than an hour Dr. Manato fixed both of my front teeth.
He was so professional and I experienced no pain. The color of the new teeth match perfectly. I am so happy with his work. I can smile without embarrassment now. It was truly a blessing to find The Manato Family Dentistry. Due to a last minute change, I had to find a dentist that could complete my implant crown. I prayed and came across The Manato Family Dentistry. The entire team welcomed me in and took such great care of me and my situation. He takes the time to explain what he's doing AND does a great job of it. He just recently fixed a chip I had in my front tooth and it looks flawless - it's impossible to see where the chip ever was. Overall, the office provides a very supportive environment and they make going to the dentist as pleasurable as it can be. :)

Dr. Manato wears PPE equipment. This includes face mask, head gear, gloves and shoe coverings. He even provides eye shield ‘glasses’ for patients to wear throughout procedures—whether for cleanings or more in depth procedures. Dr. Manato’s nature is to comply with all CDC & ADA protocols. Details include having a rapid ventilation system in place to ensure highest possible air quality during procedures and across the reception area.

I have always appreciated the way the Manato Team has serviced my family dental needs. Everybody in the Team is nice, kind, cordial & knowledgeable- for every service rendered with utmost efficiency, I cannot ask for more.
When COVID19 struck, I had to put all my medical appointments on halt, including dental. But life must go on, so to speak. After I mustered enough courage, I called in for an appointment. I inquired about how they handle the safety of their patients, and their safety as well. We talked about safety apparels, office sanitation, and of course, the equipment and tools in their examination room. I was glad to hear that they implemented a lot of changes to address my concerns, and every patient’s concerns.
When I finally had my appointment, I volunteered to wait in my car until I was called by a Team member to come inside. I was informed early on that they limit the number of patients in the waiting room. To my surprise, the office and examination rooms are well equipped:
• A hands free sanitizer station at the lobby/waiting room
• A Plexiglas installed at the lobby separating the Admin staff from the patients
• Each examination room is equipped with a medical grade air purifier (wow!)
• An extraoral vacuum, I was told when I inquired about the white tubing held right close to me during the course of treatment (another wow!)
• Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) – every staff/member of the Team wears the proper safety apparel: disposable gowns, gloves, hi grade masks, face shields
• Sanitizers come handy anywhere you go
I have just completed another appointment, in preparation for my crown installation, another set of 6. I say another set, because Dr. Manato installed a set of 6 some years ago. I am extremely happy with his work.

At first I was skeptical about ClearCorrect. It wasn't like getting braces like my sisters got for their teeth. Unlike braces, I was able to take off my ClearCorrect, whenever necessary. It wasn't also as visible as braces which relieved me of showing people that I had ClearCorrect. During the process of wearing ClearCorrect, I had to wear them 24/7 and take them off when I ate and brushed my teeth. I also had to visit the dentist every 3 or 6 weeks to get a new set of ClearCorrrect to wear. Getting a new ClearCorrect would help shape my teeth to make them straighter. When the procedure was finished, I got a final retainer to help keep my teeth from moving or relapsing. In the end, my teeth were straighter and I don't have my teeth looking like "stairs" which is how I used to see my teeth. In conclusion, I feel much better and less self-conscious about my teeth.

Today, I received the second treatment to conclude the closure of my root canals. As always, I was greeted promptly, with warm smiles and service started on time. The procedure went as planned and my double root canal crowns are now replaced with two single crowns. I was new to the Southern Maryland area and in need of a dental cleaning and some fillings. Like many other out there I have never been one to like visiting the dentist. I had heard about Dr. Manato through some of my husband’s colleagues and thought I would give him a try. I am so glad I did. From my first call to Dr. Manato’s office to schedule my appointment I could tell that this dental clinic was different. The receptionist was kind, informative and worked to get me in at the time that was best for me. The day came when I had to nervously head to the dentist office. When I walked into the office it was clean and I was greeted with a smile. There was practically no waiting. I was called back by the dental assistant at the time my appointment was scheduled for. The dental assistant was very friendly and while doing my x-rays and preparing me for my cleaning our small talk really started to calm my nerves and put me at ease. I was taken by surprise to find out that the dentist himself, Dr. Jojo Manato, would be preforming my cleaning. He is exceptionally thorough and diligent with his work. Dr. Manato listened to me when I went over my concerns and he addressed them all with full professionalism. He will explain everything he does and why. When it comes to fillings and fixing teeth he is an artist! Dr. Manato and his dental assistant work together like a well oiled machine. The facility is clean and comfortable and the entire staff makes me feel like family. More important though, is the fact that Dr. Manato explains everything in detail and tells me all my options. I find out almost immediately what the costs are, and what my insurance will or will not cover. They have the very latest technology, friendly & knowledgeable staff, prompt & courteous service, detail oriented staff; & Dr. Manato cleaned my teeth himself! (I couldn't stop smiling, best cleaning ever!). He's gentle, precise and artistic! I really think Dr. Manato is an artist, he takes pride in his work. I have had two cavities filled and a crown in just the past few months, and he uses ceramic fillings, so no ugly metal shows up when you smile. I could go on and on, but bottom line is that there is absolutely nothing to dislike. I am so thankful I found a dentist that isn't only extremely skilled, but kind about it as well. I am referring everyone I know! Oh and as if all the above wasn't enough, there are beautiful gold pens for the taking at the front desk, to make it easy for you to have his contact information! I was referred to Dr. Manato by a co-worker when I worked in DC and he did an excellent job on deep cleaning my teeth and providing health education on my gums. Now, he has his own office in Waldorf and I followed him there and I am so happy I did. His office is clean and the equipment is well-maintained. The staff are friendly and helpful.

As soon as you walk in the lobby you are greeted by a warm and kind staff always ready to help you. I rarely have to wait at all before I get called in.
