Dear Friends,

We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the last few months, and all of us are looking forward to resuming our normal habits and routines. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety.

Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice and you may have seen this during your visits to our office. Our infection control processes are made so that when you receive care, its both safe and comfortable. We want to tell you about the infection control procedures we follow in our practice to keep patients and staff safe.

Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We follow the activities of these agencies so that we are up-to-date on any new rulings or guidance that may be issued.

You may see some changes when it is time for your next appointment. We made these changes to help protect our patients and staff. For example:

  • Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again when you are in the office.
  • We have hand sanitizer that we will ask you to use when you enter the office. You will also find some in the reception area and other places in the office for you to use as needed.
  • You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, childrens toys and so forth, since those items are difficult to clean and disinfect.
  • Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that youre offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
  • We will do our best to allow greater time between patients to reduce waiting times for you, as well as to reduce the number of patients in the reception area at any one time.

We look forward to seeing you again and are happy to answer any questions you may have about the steps we take to keep you, and every patient, safe in our practice. To make an appointment, please call our office at 301-645-2515 or visit our website at www.manatodentistry.com.

Thank you for being our patient. We value your trust and loyalty and look forward to welcoming back our patients, neighbors and friends.

Sincerely,

Dr. Jojo Manato and Team

Happy Mother's Day

May God BLESS YOU with abundant JOY on Mother's Day & ALWAYS.

Dear Friend,

We miss you! It is now  9  weeks since we have been asked to close, except for Dental Emergencies. We look forward to opening again and continuing to help you stay healthy, as soon as possible. The fact is, we are being asked to be responsible and avoid congregating together as well as minimizing our use of masks, gloves and the like that are in short supply on the “front lines” in the fight against COVID-19.

Please know that we are here for you should you have a dental emergency. Dental emergencies include anything that causes pain, swelling, discomfort or difficulty eating. Of course, if you need treatment, we will treat you in a clean and safe environment, just as we always have. We will, however, ask several additional questions to understand that you are safe to treat right now.

We do not know when we will be allowed to begin normal operations, but we will contact patients needing dental care as we move through this strange time. We have someone answering the phone every day, so please call if you have any questions!

In the meantime; let’s work together to make sure that dental problems stay to a very minimum.

Please work extra hard at your day-to-day homecare.

Brush and floss daily, and use the interdental cleaners and other aids as we have recommended on your hygiene visits. It is difficult with the new routine extra time at home that we now have, but try hard to avoid sugars between meals, and keep your diet healthy with lots of protein and vegetables and some fruit, (but no fruit between meals).

We love you guys, we miss all of you and we can’t wait to see your smiling faces in here again!

Truly yours in better health,

Dr. Jojo Manato and Staff

Dear valued patient:

In an effort to support national efforts to fight the COVID- 19 pandemic, our practice is taking the following steps to help assure your health and well-being and that of our community:

  • We are following directives from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) as a way to limit patient and staff exposure to this virus.
  • Your health, and the health of our dedicated staff, matters to us, so going forward we will suspend all non-emergency or non-urgent procedures through the duration of the catastrophic health emergency as mandated by the Maryland Department of Health.
  • Patients will be seen only for urgent and emergency dental needs.

We will contact you soon to reschedule routine hygiene appointments. If you are already scheduled for an urgent issue, we will contact you the day before your appointment to discuss your health status, health screening protocols and confirm whether the appointment should be kept. Of course, please call us right away if you have a dental emergency or need immediate care.

The safety and well-being of our patients continues to be our primary concern. We will continue to monitor the status of COVID-19 nationally and within our community and keep you up-to-date regarding our plans to reopen for business as usual.

I urge you to contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We can be reached by phone at 301-645-2515 or by email to info@manatodentistry.com and will respond as soon as we can.

Thank you,

Dr. Jojo Manato
